TROLLAN ART - Rasil and Skyla

Description

Inspired by "My Last Breath" by Evanescence. The lyrics-bit is from the same song. I actually spent most of the night on this. Probably like... around 8 hours, I *think*. >_o

A failed attempt at a quick summary of what I understand about this picture:
Soon after the birth of her son (Currently known as Dramien, but we're not supposed to know that. *shh*), Skyla began losing sleep. This is a rare happening because it takes a LOT of magical energy to create a new life. The magic is "recharged" by sleep... or a rather large dose of happiness, depending on the situation. >_> Anyhoo...

Their son, who they had decided to name Abri (of course, the name never sunk in, thank goodness), mysteriously disappeared. This caused both parents to lose sleep, but it had a horrible effect on Skyla, and she eventually made herself sick with what I like to call "Drain" - though Trillian referred to it as "magic outrage", which sounds good, too... And there aren't many who survive this sickness. Skyla was one of the unlucky ones.

Rasil went to get his Elder-friend, Fukui (not pictured), for some help one night... Skyla used the last of her energy to come outside while he was on his way back home... They held a short conversation before Skyla died in his arms.

Maybe I'll write it out in story-form sometime... but... Waaaah, it's so sad! :tears:

The art is MINE!!

The magic-thing is mostly from the top of my head, some of the ideas shared with Trillian and company (you know who you are)... The sickness was my idea, 'cause I dunno of any Trollan sicknesses. :o

How sad, but haunting. And the cloud-trees make for good atmosphere.
